The Whitecourt Petroleum Association is pleased to present the 2010 annual scholarships to Emily Shand, at left and Brittany Brooks, at right. Each student is the recipients of $500.00. Checks are presented by Jay Boorse, President of the Whitecourt Petroleum Association.
Jay Boorse President of the Whitecourt Petroleum Association, is pleased to present Amy Eger the 2008 scholarship, for $1000.00
Amy is attending Red Deer College.
These funds were raised during the Whitecourt Petroleum Association’s annual Golf Tournament and Curling Bonspiel.
WPA Scholarship
A $1000 scholarship is available from the WPA for any student entering into a technology program in any Alberta secondary educational institution. Any trade or field is eligible.
Our preferences are:
- secondary education in any technology related field
- financial need
- prior experience or exposure in chosen field
- parent, guardian or sponsor who is a member of WPA
- short written summary detailing why student should receive WPA’s help
- proof of secondary education enrolment
